Minister Glenda Harden-Boston gave her life to Christ at an early age and was baptized at Shiloh Baptist Church in Greensboro, North Carolina. At the age of 10 her family relocated to Washington, D.C. where she joined the New Image Community Baptist Church (NICBC) and became an active member under the late Reverend Robert Walker and the late Reverend Ricardo L. Brent from 1971 to 2006.
She is currently a faithful disciple of the Emmanuel Baptist Church (EBC) under the leadership of Pastor, Reverend Christopher L Nichols. She serves faithfully in many capacities of Emmanuel in support of its mission: Ministerial Staff;· 1st Vice President of the Ainger Place Development Corporation;· Senior’s Ministry Leader;· Chair of EBC Personnel Committee; Vice President of the Progressive Club; 2ndVice President of the Women’s Club.
Minister Boston started her Federal Government career at age 16 with the Department of Health and Human Services and is now a Management Analyst, with 42 years of service where she specializes in the areas of Human Services, Personnel Management, Position Classification, EEO, Special Emphasis Programs and Employee Development. Her proudest assignment was servicing persons with disabilities as the Reasonable Accommodations Coordinator for the agency.
In 1991, she accepted her call to ministry and attended the school of Ministry under the leadership of the late Reverend Ricardo L. Brent at New Image Baptist Church. She became the Youth Minister and taught Tuesday night bible study. Subsequently, she was licensed to preach the gospel in 2007 where she helped to the establish the New Holiness Outreach Christian Center as the Administrator and Associate Assistant Minister to Elder Cornell Lartman from 2006 to 2008.
In 2009 she joined the First Angelic Missionary Baptist Church and became the Associate Assistant Minister and Minister of Ministries developing position statements of accountability for each ministry under the leadership of Reverend Herbert Odom. She was lead to assist in the establishment of Divine Connections Ministries under the leadership of Pastor, Reverend Bruce Johnson. Also she was an affective resource in the establishment of the 501(C) (3) for the church.
